About

Hello, I'm Alana

I’m an artist, jewellery-maker, mother of two, nature lover, and creative arts therapist. I love working creatively with women who want to meet themselves on a deeper level and develop a more authentic expression of their gifts.

As an artist, I’m drawn to flowers, rocks, threads, and any kind of rhythmic, slow crafting. As a therapist, I am interested in how the creative process can bring us back to moving at a human pace, deepen our embodied knowing and connect us to others.

Country - the many beautiful and deeply spiritual lands that have always been cared for by First Nations peoples - is a major source of inspiration for me. I pay my deep respects to the different Traditional Owners and Elders across this island, in reverence to Indigenous wisdom, culture and storytelling.

Approach & Experience

My approach is gentle, intuitive, and collaborative in nature.

I am trained in person-centred, trauma-informed and transpersonal approaches. I may also weave in shamanic practices to help you feel grounded and connected to the wisdom of the Earth - our greatest teacher.

Expressive arts are embodied practices that ask us to tune in somatically and work from a place of sensing. I support you in accessing the wisdom of your body and finding ways to express your truth via creative modalities.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, an Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy, a Master of Therapeutic Arts Practice, and a Reiki Level II certification. I've been receiving mentorship from Medicine Women for the last few years as I personally walk this path.

I work on the lands of the Turrbal & Jagera peoples. I pay my respects to the Traditional Custodians of Country across this island, acknowledging the deep wisdom held by the Elders past & present. I seek to decolonise my practice and commit to developing allyship in the spirit of reciprocity and healing.
