About
Hello, I'm Alana
I’m an artist, jewelry-maker, mother, meditator, nature lover, and transpersonal arts therapist. Through my own experience, I have come to appreciate healing as a lifelong journey that requires us to show up compassionately and patiently for ourselves as we meet challenges and integrate the insights that help us to grow. I love working with women who want to meet themselves on a deeper level and seek a more authentic expression of their gifts.
Country - the many beautiful and deeply spiritual lands that have always been cared for by First Nations peoples - is a major source of inspiration for me. I pay my deep respects to the different Traditional Owners and Elders across this island, in reverence to Indigenous wisdom and storytelling.
As an artist I’m drawn to flowers, rocks, drawing, fibre arts, and any kind of rhythmic, slow-crafting. I'm currently interested in the land- based spirituality and practices of pre-Christian Europe, in particular, the knowledge that has quietly been carried by women through history in the form of traditional textile arts.
Approach & Experience
My approach is gentle, intuitive, and collaborative in nature. I honour where you are at on your journey, and work from a trauma-trained and recovery model.
Expressive arts are embodied practices, and quickly bypass well-rehearsed narratives. I support you in accessing the wisdom of your body through the process of creative expression. By witnessing what is being expressed authentically in the moment, we can work together to make meaning, process emotions and integrate important insights.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, an Advanced Diploma in Transpersonal Art Therapy, a Master of Therapeutic Arts Practice, and a Reiki Level II certification.

I work on the lands of the Kabi Kabi, Turrbal & Jagera peoples. I pay my respects to the Traditional Custodians of Country across this island, acknowledging the deep wisdom held by the Elders past & present. I seek to decolonise my practice and commit to developing allyship in the spirit of reciprocity and healing.
